      What to bring

        What to Bring: A comfortable daypack (20L–30L), a waterproof rain jacket or poncho, sturdy hiking shoes or running sneakers with good grip, a reusable water bottle, and a camera or smartphone for photos.

        Nice to Have: High-SPF sunscreen, a warm sweater or fleece layer (it gets surprisingly chilly when you stop for lunch at Mandara Hut), a sun hat or baseball cap, insect repellent for the forest trail, wet wipes, and some cash if you want to buy a soda at the hut or tip your guide and driver.
